B-Wash

Hello all,

I just wanted to share a quick flash animation I did for Prestone - it's a little bug character I call "B-Wash"... wish I had more hours to work on it so I could do some real movement, but nonetheless at least the client was happy lol

B-Wash

Thanks!

Well, that's really crappy, isn't it? Do you think you'll like being reminded of it yourself later on? Albeit that the customer liked it - they usually have no more sense than taste.

Congrats on working your way to 15 posts so quickly on Good Friday. With more mods around on a normal day it wouldn't have worked.

And please complete your profile with location details. Windsor Connecticut will do. Not just CT.

Thanks for your feedback - That's exactly why I said it was a quick animation and that I wish I had more time to work on it to make it better. The idea of a dancing bug is something I would've loved to animate, from an animator's standpoint it's pretty fun... I understand it isn't the greatest animation ever made but in the corporate world sometimes you don't have the time or the budget from the client to work on things and have it come out the way you would have liked.

As for the congratulations, thanks your sarcasm is appreciated. I don't see anything wrong with signing up to these forums on my day off and trying to assert myself into this community, but whatever.

Thanks for your time

Comments noted. The corporate world will shortly be finding itself with a whole lot more time on its hands and then there'll be time to polish animations. I can see you know what you're doing from the existing example.

Nothing wrong with signing up and joining in, but the Race To Fifteen is frowned upon.

Thanks for the feedback.. I hope there will be more time to polish animations in the corporate world soon... I'm trying to hang in there, I hate getting projects I would've loved to make great but find that I only have like 2 hours to do something with it.. and lately we haven't had any clients that were willing to pay for the time for a quality animation.. I HATE putting work out there that I am very unhappy with, it's embarassing and frustrating lol...

Also this "Race to Fifteen" - to clear things up I honestly wasn't trying to just make 15 posts in a day for any reason. You might not believe me but I'm just spending as much time as I could to get into this - I don't have a lot of time during the week or weekends to sit down and actually post about things I'm interested in and I'm not trying to make any enemies here. Just curious though, if you sign up to post on these boards, are you supposed to make sure you don't post 15 posts on the same day so you don't get accused of "Racing to Fifteen"?

Thank you again though for your concerns.

Don't worry, you posted some sensible comments and opinions in your Fifteen Threads unlike a lot of prospective members who just post 15 "cool" and "awesome" comments. You'll notice that there are very few posts on DT which just say "kewl". Censorship by dictatorial hands is the reason - which makes the whole site better for everyone.

I share your exasperation with having to forward material I'm privately dissatisfied with especially if there's a risk that my name will be associated with the low-grade work. It can be very frustrating.

You haven't made any enemies here - plenty of time for that. Oh and remember to update your profile please - the link is at the top of this page (User CP)

Welcome to DT!

Thanks for the Welcome!

Now I understand what you meant by posting quick comments.. I will try to avoid doing such things - makes sense so replies that we read aren't a waste of time.

Yeah I miss clients coming to us with a "real" budget and who want to spend money for us to come up with something worth looking at.. it's been awhile lol but hopefully things will turn around sooner than later..

Just to show that "B-Wash" isn't the best work done, if you have some free time take a look at:

Callaway Golf New Product Features and Benefits

This one I can say I'm happy with the result.
