recording snowboard trip

okay so we have a youth tv show and we are going snowboarding in 2 weeks. They want me to record the whole session, and i just went snowboarding 3 weeks ago. I fell a lot since it was my first time going. After the end of the session, i managed to find my balance without falling Now im going my second time and am not really confident about me not falling + with the camera. Any suggestion of what i can do to keep the camera safe from breaking its a little cheap sony thats like 5yrs old so they dont really care but they still want to keep it......

you can buy sports camera cases - hard plastic case that fits your camera and is waterproof too so good for snow - probably model specific so dunno if you would get one if yours is an old camera..
