Hi all,
I recently got After Effects CS3 but I have a problem. It don't let me to import mp3 files. I thought it wasn't supported in this version, but searching in the AE Help I found this chapter:

Code:

Supported import formats 
Audio formats
Advanced Audio Coding (AAC, M4A)

Audio Interchange File Format (AIF, AIFF)

MP3 (MP3, MPEG, MPG, MPA, MPE)

Video for Windows (AVI, WAV; requires QuickTime on Mac OS)

Waveform (WAV)

So I think it should be supported. So....Why I can't import that kind of files?

I used to import *.mp3 files since AF 6.5 with - Ctrl + I {Importing a file}

Works perfectly with CS3. Dunno what's wrong with your copy of AF CS3.

I used to have trouble importing mp3s with AE7 (it crashed), but once I upgraded to CS3 the problem vanished.

I guess your best bet would be to either call Adobe or convert your mp3s to wavs.
