Equipment

My boss has said he will buy all the equipment I need to start doing motion graphics in the studio. Just wandering what the best kit is to start on?

Am thinking

After Effects
Premier
Logic
Powermac
Big Monitor

Thats the most expensive MAC you can buy - Tip Top spec for absolutely everything. you can get cheaper 8 cores.

Won't you need cameras? I'd ask for a nikon D80, a hama tripod and a couple of lights (slave and softbox)

Narate: Logic as in Logic Audio? What do you need that for?

I dunno what sound apps are decent on Mac but I wouldn't of thought you'd of needed a midi sequencer for general motion graphics stuff. I use Adobe Audition 2 and Sony Sound Forge 8 for my audio stuff and they are more than enough.

Oh and I'd get a 30" cinema display if you can. It's awesome to work with that much free space available in AE
