USB mini-DV capture

hey kids

I've captured video from a mini-DV camera before with a VAIO & iLink cable. It was easy.

I don't have the VAIO anymore but I need to capture some more video - am I right in thinking that I just need a USB 2 cable & the right software?

Cheers
dAN

p.s. Happy New Year!

no, you'll need a firewire/ilink cable and software.
