I don't think graphic design can be learned by passively watching a tut and I recommend a pencil and paper. The computer stage comes very much later. Tip: Steve is always right. —Bishop

Write the name of the company out in helvetica bold, then take the Nike swoosh, turn it upside down and put it on top, works every time! Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are good is like expecting the bull not to charge because you are a vegetarian

You can get an idea from your friends and if you want,if you can afford and enrolled in a tutorial class then it is better since there will be a professor that would teach you better or maybe study on your own with the help of books and live tutorial via youtube. |

I think this comes down to one of two questions: Are you looking for tutorials on Illustrator? Lynda.com Adobe Illustrator CS6: Classroom In a Book or Are you looking for tutorials on concept development of a logo? 9 Mistakes designers make when creating a logo Designerstalk - Logo and Brand Identity Section How to Design a Logo - JustCreative 10 Common Mistakes In Logo Design Those are just a few articles out there. Google "branding" and you'll find pages and pages of good results. It's just a matter of sifting through things. I highly advise you sign up on Behance.net and look through there for some examples of good branding. I can tell you my process for designing logo/identity (or the term most pros use — Branding) but I think it might be a little much since I don't know your clientele. |
