Your 100% correct he was an elephant. Just checked the email from the client and that is how he spelled it. I never noticed the mistake. Cheers for pointing it out, a little embrassed now but at least I have it correct in the logo. |

I'm not a big fan of the font personally. Is he literally just a mens £5 short back & sides place or a full on salon? Why not try a different hairdressing icon, maybe a pair of scissors could be incorporated into the M? |

I've been trying to incorporated scissors into the M but haven't come up with anything that I am happy with. He is a one man barber shop. He wants to market himself as the trendy shop for people who spend far to much on getting their mop chopped. He is currently in the process of redesigned the interior. Everything will be black and white. Last edited by y2jeff : 18-12-2009 at 06:43. |

Use the red and white barber's pole in the design. Or a pair of scissors and a cut-throat razor. The hair clippings everyone sees as claws is too banal to be true. When guys are driving down the street looking for a barber they're looking for symbolism they know, not some postmodern interpretation of yours, sad to say. My free fonts www.utfi.net

I was thinking of hiring a designer for this job. What price range would I be looking at? Would £500 be anywhere close? I never work with another designer before only developers. |

The brief was black and white to match the interior of the shop, so can't go down that road. I hear what your saying about my interpretation. Swing and a miss on my part I think. |

I am a web designer. I have never worked on logo design for a client. What price do you think would be reasonable? |
