business card design
Hi all I would really appreciate your thoughts on my business card design. I came up with it last night, and couldn't figure out if it was good or bad so slept on it. Just got up and had another look and I still can't make up my mind. Any feed back or suggestions would be great. back: http://www.c-me-ok.co.uk/_dev/business_card_back.jpg Front: http://www.c-me-ok.co.uk/_dev/business_card_front.jpg |

That’s what I thought, hoping someone could suggest ideas to make it less cheesy |

I think using a picture would make it more difficult to read, but could make a great image for the back, and use a normal layout for the front instead. |

I actually like it. I would embolden the actual information more so it is easier to read. I don't really care if it is cheesy or not. I think potential clients may like it. EDIT. Now you have made the code text grey I like it less Last edited by cocknose : 17-06-2009 at 08:43. |

Spot UV/varnish Like the others said I'd try and knock the code/non-important information back, so its a darker grey, its currently fighting too much with the main text. Might be interesting actually if all the code is only visible as a spot UV, though at a glance it might make the rest look awkward positionally. Though who will your target audience be? Might be lost on quite a few people. |

Yeh my thoughts too, if your clients aren't programmers and just marketing / business people this isn't going to make any sense at all. |

Ah ha! spot UV/Varnish, cool will try it a darker grey, I like the idea of just having the html visible only with the spot uv, but agree it would make the rest of the info look a bit odd. My target audiance will mainly be local companies, but I do get contacted by alot of design agencies around the midlands, so want a business card that sticks in the head. |

I like the concept at which your going for, but you need to make it more simpler and easier for someone to glance at. Try adding subtle gradients, make the secondary text smaller and a gray shade darker. I suggest setting up a good structure for the information and then start play with the code idea. |
