looong logo. need help

Hey forum
I'm trying to make a logo for a company called "Truth Window Cleaning and Pressure Washing"

How am I supposed to organize? Do you know of any long-named companies with a good logo design?

Any help would be appreciated, besides the over used "hire a designer". But hey, I just might have to.

Thanks

make truth the largest part, window cleaning and pressure washing can be secondary

This is a rough idea. The ugly building thing on top is just an outline i was thinking about putting there.

It's rather simple though. Maybe I could do something more with the first "T". The focus is closer to building services, not just window cleaning and pressure washing. They might change it to that anyways.

It will be used on polo shirts, faxes, web... so it has to be versatile.
Any ideas? thanks

Well you got the idea but it looks awful sorry, maybe play with some other typefaces. Wouldn't start putting the outline building thing in there.

Why is the T butchered in that fashion?

Would take it to paper, or whatever helps you best and just try to generate as many options as you can think even as simple scruffy scribbles and see if anything emerges.

This looks nice. But when it's scaled down to regular logo size, you can't identify the squeegee. This might work the back of a shirt, maybe not for b/w fax. And they are looking for more a building services logo.

I don't mean to be rude. It does look nice

Rather a silly complaint if you think about it for a second, that's one particular lockup of it, nothing really stops you separating the type from the icon and having the T/squeegee much larger in another arrangement.

Don't see anything about it that looks inappropriate for building services either, fairly sure they use squeegees too no? Still more appropriate than a really bad identity, which no offence looks like all you'd be able to provide for them given your current skill level.

I doubt nudge is about to start refining it or altering it for you for $50 (I hope not anyway.)

Failing using anything from his suggestion, just set it in Helvetica without butchering the typeface and call it job done.

The squeegee logo was just an idea, I was more set on the setting of the type. I was trying to make it so that it would scale at least a little but but i can see how having such a thin element wouldnt be legible at that size. I had some free time yesterday and was tinkering around.

and i don't worry about being rude, I know rude and that was not in the slightest.

I also have a high-rise platform I sketched up if that is more what you're looking for. I was trying to go for a more generic window approach seeing as how when I looked up "truth" i didnt get a web page just a business listing.

let me know.

yeah i like the type, I used the same for my "awful" logo. =)

the website im putting together is truthcleaning.com
I just put it online so you could take a look; it's far from finished

A large percentage of his work is high-rise buildings; his target audience is high-ranked property managers. I'd like to see what the other looks like

if you put more work on the project, id up the pay.

Thanks for the help
Cade
