Logo Options
I am starting a freelance graphic design business and have 2 logo options but I'm having a hard time figuring out which one I like the best. Any opinions? Feedback? One is ML Design and the other is marmar design. Thanks m~ Last edited by mar_design2 : 09-06-2009 at 18:10. |

Both are terrible I can see why you're struggling between them. DT seems flooded with people determined to set up as freelance designers lately and barely any of them have any skills between them. Sigh. Maybe not having the word design in the logo itself. And actually design a nice mark, or a simple elegant bit of typography. |

some good stuff in there. apologies, were a cranky group especially to those who show up randomly asking for help and then usually don't take it or respond well to it. Do your job and demand your compensation - but in that order.

its a decent start but i would start over, sketch out a few different ideas and go from there. it was a decent idea but the L really gets lost on those. If I were you I would either go more bold or more feminine because right now youre caught in no mans land. Do your job and demand your compensation - but in that order.

Sorry if I was over zealous, but we really have had a flock of folks recently trying to set up shop without the skills at all. But as said the first two you showed really weren't very brilliant, and I did make suggestions within my post (a nice crafted mark or simple elegant type) - can't really spoonfeed you what to do though I know designing for yourself really is one of the hardest things to do. I occasionally pimp out this set of articles but it's a good read and helps you generate some ideas for yourself: The Art of Self-Branding: Part One | Lealea Design |

Thanks so much for your honesty. Harsh feedback only encourages me to improve on my designs. This helps me learn from my mistakes. I came up with a few more sketches based off the comments. I'll post soon. Last edited by mar_design2 : 09-06-2009 at 21:41. |

The thing is, if you can't tell when something looks gash you shouldn't be in this industry in the first place.. (not aiming that at you directly, lol) |

That may be true, but doing a project for yourself is probably the hardest thing you'll ever do as you are you're own worst client ! |

and the whole tone of the thread changes. Outrage becomes requests for more work and insults become vague compliments and encouragement. Vaginas are handy |
