Don't hold back!
Hey everyone, I'm a newbie here (first post) and to the graphic design world. I'm working on a logo for myself and don't know whether it's good or not. I've asked friends and family and they all liked it, but then again they're friends and family. I would like honest opinions from designers. Again, I'm glad to be apart of this community and hope to contribute positively in the future! Cheers, Rickey |

It's actually a coming soon image from my site in-progress. Here's the logo without the meaningless haze and one I would use in print. ![]() |

I think it needs brought together a bit. At the moment it just looks like a typeface with some spikes added. Needs some love I think. Maybe take a look at a few of these places: 2008 Trends article on LogoLounge.Com » Logo Design Basics: The Five Types of Marks :: Positive Space :: Graphic Design Blog Logo Design Love |

Agree completely. I like the concept though - I'd go back to pencil and paper and play around with it a bit. "Hunch is a retard. He is fat, car, homosexual, gay, smelly, hungry, and doesn't like that Montel guy, because that's from Schindler's List."

I'll give that a try. Quote:
Honestly, it was done rather quick. I was playing around trying out different things and this was the product of that. Thanks for those references! I book marked all of them Quote:
Thanks man! Appreciate the kind words. Quote:

Im not really liking it. It looks like a dodgy free font and the spikes hardly represent 'punk', they just look like a mistake. i would try a different font, maybe have another shot at the spikey hair, although im not sure if the spikey hair concept will be greatly impressive unless pulled off very well. For that i have no ideas off the top of my head. Why don't you look into the punk scene in Britain in the 70's and 80's (sorry if im wrong, that is waaay before my time!). There is some great art and design that was influenced by this, you dont have to do something that directly repesents the look of a 'punk' but more the look of the style and scene. |
