Huge opportunity in eSports

Hi there, my name is Tyson Lambert, I am founder of a large eSports organization named Iconic eSports.

We have currently about 100 members and have made quite a few changes including a name change that has required us to contemplate building a new site.

Our name, our branding, and our teams get a lot of media and exposure to the gaming community through their successes in competition and also their presence at very high-profile and highly populated events.

These events include some of the top names in the gaming, technology, and software business. (IE: nVidia, Alienware, clearwire, comcast, activision, easports, etc.)

Currently, we are looking for a person or people that would be willing to build us a great site that has a few standard items...a good example: www dot team-dignitas dot org.

This site we are hoping can mostly be sponsored in exchange for the marketing opportunity that is involved in this industry and in our organization. Our sponsors currently provide us with servers, money for event registration, and hardware in exchange for marketing their services and products at all of the events we attend (good teams get a lot of attention).

These events can range from 1000-40000 people attending...all of which can be directly marketed through our team.

Anyway...I can get more into numbers and statistics...but for now I would wish to ask if there are any people that would be interested in an opportunity to work together like this?

Can your sponsors not provide money for your website as well?

they can, but we have so many travel expenses, we want to allocate there.

Look, to be honest with you, I am not opposed to paying, but if that's the case the designer doesn't get the most out of the opportunity...but if it's sponsored, they are marketed to the utmost extent.

The whole thing about eSports and sponsorships is...you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours...but if I have to tell my teams "sorry, i can't pay for your entry" to a competition, then NO sponsors get showcased.

That said, I know it's not typically a "free" thing...and this certainly isn't expected to be free by any means...but if two parties can use their reputation and skills they have to gain in their prospective ventures, then that's even better imho.

If I have to end up paying, that sucks and it's kinda sad...but at the same time, I am willing to do it in order to get a great site...like I said, at that point though the designer won't be showcased in the same way.

Sounds shady. I see a lot of talk, but all I hear is "We can't afford a professional web designer, so we'll give you exposure".

Also, "eSports".

Yeah, I see where you could get that impression, but I do want to stress that we can buy and afford getting a website professionally done.

As I said before, we can and probably WILL end up purchasing a site from somebody...but for a smaller company that wants the exposure, I was hoping it might seem reasonable...if not, then that's my folly.
