New Flatcat logo

Been working at putting together a new portfolio now that the semester is done and was playing around with putting a new logo together for said portfolio. Let me know what you think, cheers.

Sorry is illegible to me. Identity is all about identifying yourself. I cannot read that, I only know it says Flatcat because you told me, could say Fartflap?

Righto. Thanks guys and you were totally right... didn't realize it when I was working on it but the lower grunge was starting to create letterforms where there shouldn't of been and was messing with the eyes a bit. I went back to the drawing board and toned down the grunge and kept it to the top so that it wasn't interfering with the letterforms anymore. Let me know what you guys think.

not a fan. if you must go for grunge effects i'd try to give it some reason for it's existence.

for example, while you might not want to be associated with roadkill, having a car tire tread running through the type might be fun and more importantly, there's a rational for it being there.

Fartflaps

Can't read it...this is distressed to the point of looking generic (too "fonty").

The effect could be nice on a logo but the font used here makes it unreadable.
If you take the effect down a bit and use an other font it might work.
