What goes on a compliment slip

Hi All,

I am doing a favour to a friend of mine (to partly cover the restoration costs of my classic car), and I am inclined to put the address on the front, and some bullet points on the back with the serviceshe offers.
Do you think it's appropriate, or a compliment slip should only have the address on?
The company I work for, for instance, uses two versions, one with a blank back and one with a brief list of the services we offer.
Any suggestions?

I would prefer not to have advertising on a compliment slip. The firm's logo or name and contact details are fine.

oh, and how about the address on the back? would it make sense having to turn the slip around in order to read it?

No, I think all the stuff goes on a postcard sized sheet of paper. It's usually preprinted with the words "With compliments" and has room to scrawl a signature and a few words of thanks or greetings. I don't think I've ever seen one which is intended to be turned over for more info.

With complients, logo/company name, address, phone number, email, website, company number if registered, vat number if applicable, room for short message.

Size should be 1/3 A4 -210x99mm (1/3 Letter in US - 8.5x3.6").

Should VERY closely match letterhead design.

NO advertising - would be tacky.

Don't put 'With Compliments' on. It's so 90's. No need to put VAT details on either.

Since they're usually designed to accompany something else (e.g. a brochure) and rarely get sent out unattached, the advertising would seem somewhat redundant.

Comp-slips are usually a variation of the letterhead which is adjusted to fit DL size. No harm in listing the services on the reverse, imo - you could make a design feature of it.
