Logo's Rated
Hi all, I have this site called Logorated.net in which, I'm planning to review and rate the top logo designing firms that operate online. I have put six companies to the test, asking them to design our own logo, then I'm going to rate them with the help of the critiques here. I'm going to name the companies below and in front of each of these companies please write a few lines about the logos that they've designed. go to the link below to see the Logo designs, and press next or previous to go through the featured design firms. logosrated.net/flash/logoworks/index-flash.html LogoWorks: LogoJeez: My Corporate Logo: Logo Design Pros: Logo Design Guru: The Logo Company: THANKS |

no they're not one company. Logo design is a multi billion dollar industry and all these companies who operate online want a piece of the cake. hp acquired logoworks a year ago which shows the importance of brand identity for big names like hp. these firms have different designers, different commitments, and a variety of packages which customers can choose from and they're based in different countries like US, UK and even India. |

You're ripping off other designers
Your logo design tips article is a complete rip-off from The Logo Factory's logo design tips article. I can't post the link because of a 15 post minimum, but I've informed The Logo Factory and I'm sure they'll be in touch. As this is a new site, I don't think pinching articles from another design site is the way to build a good reputation. |

I got your private message I would have hoped you'd make your point privately which you didn't and you simply don't understand the purpose if my site, I'm not gaining from those articles and I'm no competitor to those companies so I'm no rip off. in fact I have spent an average of $500 on each of the companies and who is going to gain? the community, who am I asking for help? the community |

claiming it is for the common good is not a reason for ripping off content for your site. the polite thing would be to quote and link to your source. at the least. |

How much you spent is not germane to the issue. You're not helping any community by copying material from other people's sites, without permission, and putting it on your own. As you don't seem to understand this fairly basic copyright issue, I dare say that you shouldn't be promoting a site that has anything to do with logo design. In fact, you should stop right now. |

I love how some kid with no experience or knowledge of branding can suddenly decide to set up a site where he or she rates logo's based on some irrelevant merit system. The internet is genius. |

Glad to see your terms of use and privacy policy are all above board. By the way i don't understand the point in this at all. How did you decide on how you would rate logos? If your colours are starting to run, let them all run, run away from you. Flux - Bloc Party

my site has been online only for a week and I'm still writing the terms and policy, you people seem so eager to find stuff you don't like on this web site. This forum is supposed to have critiques right? and who is a critic? its a person who offers reasoned judgment or analysis, value judgment, interpretation, or observation. Therefore by analyzing and judging each logo of each company we can rate a logo and and the overall rating of a company would be the average rating of all the logos which they designed for us. get it or should I explain more? |
