Yep, H3LL that is what we do. I'm not a logo designer, but I'd love to learn as much as possible about design/identity. I like the idea of a competition tho..I'll give that some serious thought if I can't come up with something.

Right now,we're busy with our own project but we plan to do client work for companies in our area so the key factor in deciding the company name was our location. I definitely agree Archway is very generic. There are hundreds of companies in our area named 'Gateway' something or other and Archway is very similar -- not to mention the thousands already named that. I have a lot of say in the name and I now see that it's not the best choice (especially since we hope to branch out to a multi-disciplined creative agency). At this point, we can still change it. I'd like to keep "Arch" in there if possible though as it is a staple of our community and represents simplicity. So "Arch" (something) Media..I guess. Any ideas?

Anyway, I did my most recent round without looking back here so the name is still the same.

steveb - thanks, I appreciate it..I'll play around with that idea when I get the name down.

thanks guys.

Just what I was about to say when I saw it. I like it though.

As the owner of Archway Media Services, Inc. I'd like to discourage you from using "Archway Media" in your name. We're not JUST a wedding videography company. We also do commercial video production, graphic design (including logo creation), web design, web hosting, custom software development and desk top publishing. As a courtesy to us, and to brand a name of your own, I'd like to ask you to not use the word "Archway" in your company name.

Thank you,
Brian Ferris

That wasn't meant to be rude, brash or abrasive. It was just simply me asking him to not use "Archway" in his name - coupled with "Media". My apologies to anyone on this forum if I came off offensive.

Cheers,
Brian

Thanks, Brian. I've already decided against using '"Archway Media", so no worries.

And by the way, I didn't steal that from Herr Kumm..it was inspired by ywft's logo.
