Logo Idea

Hey, I'm doing a logo for a web design company and I wanted to know what you thought of this. It's supposed to represent the design process (the speckkled trail) eventually leading up to the final product (the different colour on the "Up")

I like the idea behind it, but the outcome needs some work in my opinion. i don't like that font, so maybe consider another. If not make your strokes a bit 'fatter'.

You should us fewer spots to create the trail. I would use bigger and fewer spots with a transparency. The trail is too much on the foreground.

I agree with josse on the last point, about the trail. It takes too much precedence over the text, which should be the main attraction of the logo.

I don't mind the font, though. Maybe play around with other and see if any look better.

drop shadow on the text looks awful. makes it all look blurry
that gray and the green look bad together
2 brush strokes over text doesn't make a good logo.
the speckled trail doesn't seem to point to the up. since the green is brighter and on top, it looks like its going to the left, because of how it curves.

scrap it and start over

I believe the past tense of dream is "dreamt". There may be a variant that I am unaware of.

Does it have to be a white background ? you can get a much better effect in Photoshop if you are able to use a darker background.

A few gradients and glows overlayed in color burn mode will work wonders !

I'd say get rid of the two intertwined elements altogether, and come up with something else. It looks like a DNA strand.
