Come on now - it's not THAT bad. It's odd, therefore distinctive and works pretty well as the video resolution watermark in the corner of a tv screen.

Speaking of which, what do you reckon this large chain of Japanese DIY centres is called?

I went there for 3 years before I realised it wasn't called Joyful Jak.

The Japanese interpretation of the Roman alphabet sometimes creates monsters - but I can't see anything other than Joyful Jak.

Nah, why do they like to ruin history.
Animal Planet's logo is already a star...don't destroy it. Don't really get what's with that M.

Maybe if there are 3 animal planet channels of which this is the third, unplanned illegitimate lovechild, then the M as a 3 could make a little sense. I can imaging someone selling it as "with an authentic African feel, the letter M here represents the powerful stripes of a Zebra which is positioned directly at the center of the food-chain much the same as the new Animal Planet will be positioned at the center of the worlds televisual entertainment and education" and some twonk went for it.

So what is that store called? Joyful AK?

Spot on. The A and the K are pronounced as individual letters. (Joyful-ay-kay)

Isolated, it looks horrible...on the website, not so bad:

Animal Planet : Pets, Wild Animals, Dog Breeds, Cat Breeds

They avoided using "make my logo bigger cream" so maybe they had second thoughts.
