Gradients on 3D objects

Hi,

I have this new logo, but I'm not sure if I applied the gradients correctly. I've simply looked at this for too long. Can anybody tell me what a realistic gradient would look like or point me to a good tutorial that does? That would be fantastic. Thanks for any help in this matter...

Why dont you use Illustrators 3D tool and use the "cube" for reference?

I did use Illustrator's 3D tool to create the logo in the first place. However, adding lighting effects is not that straightforward in Illustrator.

You used them correctly, don't sweat it too much. The problem is with the mark not the gradients. When creating a mark start from b&w.

Yes, I think the mark is OK. It took a couple of months to develop. I am adding the finishing touches now...
