What about "NB" written in the internal wire of a bulb? (Possibly too predictable/over-used)

What about some sort of impressive visual (effects) mark, something akin to Starcom, etc?

The main body:

Then all the other areas pull out a certain colour, etc:

Regarding Starcom Logo, I call this "visual defects"... It's a trend. Colorful, complicated, difficult to reproduce.

Maybe, but their execution has been brilliant IMO... I definitely don't see them as the boring, old, stuffy, media planning, money pinching bastards that I used to.

Sorry I haven't had any updates for the past few days all. Been pulling back to back all-nighters working on my VFX projects. Hopefully this little break will liven me up with a fresh bash of ideas that are hopefully more successful than previous concepts. =)

Cool designs! From the very first one, I like C3 and C5. But I also like 5 from post #20

Hey all,
So it's been a while, and school's been runnin me dry, I tried out a few more ideas and I'll post them as I clean them up a bit, but here's one I fleshed out with a few variations of a similar idea.

In regards to the linked image. A friend of mine suggested perhaps I should drop my first name from the 'logo', because as far as a brand goes, my last name is far more memorable than the first name, he suggested it may make for a stronger brand overall. So I gave it a shot in 6.

Thoughts?

l like 6 Mr bartone.

would just look at the kerning (letter spacing) between the 'a' & 'r' also a tiny tweak to the 'o' & 'n'

I played around with the kerning, as well as some shading possibilities.

Tried some color variations on the flat versions. Don't know quite where to go with it, if it should be two tone, if the icon itself should be multi-colored, if it all should just be flat, one color, simple. I tend to overwork things, as you've all probably noticed.

Thanks Mandy.

I'm still torn on how I should approach the shading on this. I asked for feedback from a group of friends elsewhere, and it was pretty split. Half liked the metallic 5-6 look, though suggested maybe other colors aside from orange, the other half liked 7 in particular, or the flat black single color of #4.

What do you all think?
