Logo for logistics site

Churned these out today, let me know what you think. Type needs allot of work still.

1, 2 - self explanatory
3 - thats how the roadsigns look like in here, not in authentic typeface (argh, Arial, atleast car licenceplates are in DIN) ofc but in Transport which was used in GB
4,5 - tried to get neg and pos space to create a "LP"
6 - self explanatory

None of those. Sorry Aats, you're on the wrong track. 6 might just work if it's in colour - red/green, but none of the typefaces are very inspiring.
The bP designs are not working (1&2) at all.
I think something more organic, curvy, for the LP logo and a custom font which deals with the ascender/descender problem would be the right route.

Number 1 looks the best, but 1 and 2 read "bP" to me.

Aye, forgot to put the simplified LP version in.
Worked on the "sign" more too - I dont know what I was thinking when I separated the "portaal" and left it just hanging there.
Oh, and steve, you just cant see the type, didnt want to make it big enought to be seen :p I havent even kerned the things jet. and I dont agree with the organic and "fun" part - the brief clearly states it has to be stainless steel cold mixed with concrete. Used Vefle from a site Fred suggested earlier in no 1 - roughly traced it in illy just so that I would have anything to work with so dont arse me about the fucked letterforms please :p. Still feel that it needs something thinner and maybe even more elegant. And no 2 looks exactly as roadsigns around here and does quite nicely fit with the theme - it might be the first time in my life I use an arrow in a logo too!

I does not quite loudly need to read out as LP. Went a bit escher.

I like the text in the new no 1. Is it too cliche to put a nice box/parcel in front of it?

It was one of my first sketches and did that on paper already :P Didnt look good - too messy and in small sizes will fuck up.

Gave the "stacked stuff" as roadpainting or whatever it is called in English a bit of love.

Gawd, I should get some sleep, woke up at 5 am and worked on a flash card for 16 hours and Im rather shite at Flash.
