What do you think of this logo!?

I am designing a logo for a website for law students. It has to be clean and simple. Any advice? Is this just really boring?

I don't understand the tagline. Is it something to do with 'reading between the lines'?

other than that. look at the kerning (letter spacing)

can't think of anythin' else to say.. oh hum.

It took me a few 10's of seconds to get it.. and even then I felt compelled to ask you to make sure. I always feel creative stuff should be cleaver but not a puzzle.

But then.. I am a bit thick. Other more brainy folk (there's plenty of them!) might see the idea instantly.

your colour scheme does say LAW
and neither does your font choice.

think "red brick university"
think "crests"
think elegance

most law students are stuck up there own arse money loving bastards.

think "eton" (is that how you spell it?)

burgundy or british racing green like colour palette.
you want an elegant serif!!!

and the strap line is CHEESY

I have ditched the strapline...its bullocks and unnecessary! I was once a law student....your description is accurate. I want to stay away from the ideas you suggested...that is not the way I want to brand the site...good ideas tho and thank you.

Letter "L" looks like #1. I'd consider another font. Also, off-set the tagline a little to the right, no matter what it says. The blue can be a little stronger with a little weaker saturation.

I think it works but needs some refinement, take it to the next level, I think you could communicate "read between the lines" stronger if you push it a bit further. Not sure about the colors as stated before. Might be a bit too bright and fun feeling

The all caps and slightly bolder breaks it apart too much, and the slogan is a little cliche'. Sorry to be so blunt.

The typography isn't very good. Mixing lower case and small capitals isn't a good idea; it's disorienting.

Also:
Quote:
by law students, for law students
The words you put in bold kind of disrupt the sentence. It doesn't roll off the tongue very easily.
