Tokyo 64 is the very best logo. Not only for its utter simplicity but for its bravery too - it was the first time since the war ended 19 years previously that Japan had dared to display its national symbol. The Munich 72 gets my second best vote. I love OpArt and have done a lot of work around that theme myself, so I naturally liked that. Munich also recreated an entire system of icons to represent the different events which is still the graphic basis for visual communication all over the world, especially in transport systems (metro, airport etc). Chicago's logo looks very fine - the skyline is not familiar to me but I immediately understood that the flames represent it. Very clever and stylish. We have already dissed (=dismissed) the London 2012 logo elsewhere on this forum, so please search yourself for "London 2012" if you want to read our opinions. My free fonts www.utfi.net

Good links. I found this interesting opinion. "I would say that it is a logo. It is a logo because they call it a logo Is it good? What message is it trying to convey? That London is a shambles of falling and twisted skyscrapers? I am not sure that is the designer’s intention, but that is the feeling I get from it. Alternately, it could look like a slim teenager snatching a handbag from an elderly lady with big hair. Either way, an unsavoury image." My free fonts www.utfi.net
