I always begin designing logo in black and white, just like God intended it, but when it's time to color it up, I have some trouble deciding what colors to choose. I mean, when I have been staring at it for some time in B&W, and that I like it, I can't really decide on what looks best. How do you decide what colors to use when you are given the full choice ? And yes I have already checked colormatch.dk and colorwhore.com Do you have any advice that could help me ? Thanks |

who's it for?! do they have any preference in colors? is it a more institutional or layed back client? do they already use any type of color scheme? i see it this way, based on this questions you can decide the type of color you'll use, a more colorfull or sober type of color, or you can just try the whole color pallete and see what's suite's the forms in the logo. |

Mood and form and what works for the shapes, also depends what it's for, research what other colours are used in identities for the same market and either go with the herd or be brash and different in colour... Or have several colour ways depending on usage. |
