Logo Designs

For a web design/development studio called wheedwacker.

These are some ideas I am building on, please let me know which ones are going in the right direction.

I like this one because of the unique shape that could be a recognizable symbol.

nothing about any of those make me think "weed wacker" nor do i like any of them. maybe some green for weeds or red for blood? and maybe something more of a logo and and less of a font.

It's just some ideas. a logo doest unnecessarily have to be about the company.

Like a plumbing company doesn't need a pipe or wrench as their logo. the could use a crazy chicken and try to grab peoples attention get them to second glance their signs. A customer may not need a plumber but now a crazy chicken is etched into their mind for the next time they do.

take http://www.haveamint.com/ Their product has nothing to do with mint. they just collect statistics. they took a slogan "a FRESH look at your site" and went form there.

Now go out and do something different stand out. do something no one has ever done. Use a crazy chicken for a logo.

here's what i think of each logo:

1. the shape is too big in proportion to the font and at smaller sizes the font/text may become unreadable/hard to read.

2. It's too messy. maybe changing the colors would fix this. there is a lot of chaos in it.

3. it worse then number to in terms of being messy. likely wont do well with print media. and like number one probably wont do well in smaller sizes.

4. the font is different form your others which is somewhat nice. but the colors and outer glow don't work together.

5. probably my favorite of them all but still a bit simple but generic and not very identifying.

6. same problems as number five but with the added wave it looks a bit off.
