need some inspiration (logo and website) for a lan gaming event

Hello chaps.

I'm no designer, and don't pretend to be. A friend will be organising a LAN gaming event this summer in sheffield and I have offered to make him a website in my spare time as a freebie.

The event will be called sychosis, and I need some inspiration for a logo and website design. A lot of the other LAN gaming websites I have seen are really ugly, and the logos are generally pretty random.

Anyone got any inspirational ideas for me?

Never heard of LAN gaming before.
But from what I can see it's about bringing people together on a network.
It's not really my bag but it might be something worth basing your artwork on.
Here's a couple of simple ideas based on that theory (blocks represent people coming together to form sychosis event)

Might also be a good opportunity to go to town with something heavily stylised?

I would really stay away from places like that. All you get is dejavu when finishing some of your own designs
