Tricky One!

Hey fellow Designers,

I was wondering if anyone can give me some sort of inspiration for a logo that i am creating.

The company name is... wait for it!..................Direct Caskets, a company which sells caskets aimed at cat and dog owners and also Pet Cemetries (who will then sell them to the pet owner). So its aimed at two very different consumers.

Yes i know, this isn't your average kind of client!
Thats why i am asking for some kind of help!

Do you think it will need two identities?
One aimed at the pet owners and one aimed at the Pet cemetries.

Fonts?

Any feedback will be much apreciated!

M Gilbert

I would suggest against two identities. Also, there's may be an unfortunate tendency to try something cute. Resist this urge.

First thing to try would be a logotype, just the typography of the name.

Focus on the Direct

The key to this one is like the above reply - stay professional and don't do something cutsy. I through something together - just an idea for you to start from and get some talking going. I think that you should focus on the direct - because isn't that the main thing that sets them apart. So here is my quick logo setup:

Hope some of this helps.

its all about the font with this type of company, definatly dont do anything cute because that gives off the wrong idea. Just some straight type face would work.
Good (Personal Opinion)

Amazing (Personal Opinion )

Its all about color (or lack there of) and typeface. If you do plan on using colors try using deep reds or purples (almost black)

I think you should go with the pinkish yellow colors Intrinzik posted - THAT WOULD BE GREAT! "That's right we are a 1970's retro Animal Cemetery Casket discount company. We get it there quick or your money back!"
LOL. I do agree with him on the type face and color choices though.

What about upright dog and cat shaped coffins lined up on different sizes perhaps with a little hamster size one on the end?
