Opinions please
What do you guys think of this design? This is a site going to be for designing photo albums like the coffee tables. My clientele is professional photographers who take very good pictures of wedding. Site name is: fotomango.com. There is another site also...myfotomango.com. Thanx for opinions. |

that looks like a potato. What's that supposed to be a site or a logo? Font choice is pretty bad (it's sloppy and too irregular), colours are utterly uninspired, no need of a dropshadow, no need of a background. Sorry to me it does not read either of these: high quality, wedding, mango |

Well our intentions for the logo is to show some "funk" and "liveliness". We do not want a "Corporate" look, but rather a young hip company look. I appreciate your reply....and no need to apologize..I am asking to be critiqued. Any more people? |

well, we spent 3 days trying to come up with a domain that was not taken up already. Everything is taken and since we are not made of money to spend $1,000 to buy a domain that we like...we came up with FotoMango.com. Mango has nothing to do with anything...just that it rhymes and people can remember. We figured if someone can have a "100monkeys" or something like that in a name...Mango wasn't that bad. So we went with it cause it was simple to remember, spell and unique(and available as a ".com"). We understand the name has nothing to do with wedding or anything like that. And that is fine by us. We do not want the logo to have anything to do with wedding or photo albums either. To us, it is more about the client being intrigued and curious yet can easily remember it. |

this isnt a logo, its a random picture of some fruit on sloppy background + really bad type. That image has nothing to do with funky, fresh nor lively. Id suggest hiring a proffessional to do the job, raster pictures are not logos btw |

Go and buy a mango. look at its colour. Use the colour(s) of the mango as a starting point for your logo. I would suggest using a modern sans serif typeface (remember to kern the letters). Try and come up with a simple device to use in the logo. use pencil and paper. Show us you workings. Use Adobe Illustrator. Eat Mango. |

well thanx for the opinions. Just FYI, that was mango that we purchased..I photographed it and that white sateen material and I created the logo. Now I am not a professional, and thus have posted here for better opinions. I am of course going to like my work. But I can take criticism well. I have posted a request to design on another thread due to the opinions here. Hopefully one of you can take part in that. |
