I cant say I like the font all that much; however its a major improvement on the previous incarnation. Always hated that logo.

Old logo

Saw the ad for their new washing machine last night, looks rather spiffy.

I prefer the old one, had a nice retro look to it.
New one looks a tad web 2.0!

Nah. Needs more gradients. And a reflection.

Both actually... had clothes floating in ocean-style environment cgi-ed up to look like various sea beasties.

"At the start of the advert viewers are taken on a journey into the Aqualtis and a magical underwater world is revealed in the machine's drum. Camisoles become jellyfish, bras become clams and a duvet glides above the sea floor scene appearing as a manta ray."

It's better than it sounds, honest guv.

both have positive attributes... done fairly well. Did you try rounding the corners of the reversed version... continuing the treatment.

... its not me that did it.... just noticed a change and wonder what we think ? I like the mark, but not sure about the font ...

If I'm totally honest - i thought it was Hoover that had changed the logo (like Luke A) -
that Hoover one is a true classic ... and can never be changed - on pain of death.

Now there's a good example of marketing a household name.
We've got a Dyson and the missus still calls it a Hoover!
