Hey ive been trying to design myself a profesional looking logo.
I do webdesigns and graphics. Want the name to be ss designs.
Heres what ive got so far, what do use think?

It's hard to tell what the logo is without being told, and I don't think "design" really works where you've put it. Did you illustrate the SS yourself??

yea i made it all up using fireworks.
Any crit on making it better?

SS. Is that a good name to use. The connotations are a bit dark?

Definitely. "Not only will we make a website for you, but we'll come into your house and night and put your grandma on a one-way train at no additional cost to you!" Consider a name change.

And the logo looks bad - like a cheap attempt at making a corporate logo - like for a bank or something. And why is the word "design" in perspective? I understand it being at an angle (to match the angle of the symbol), but why it's in perspective I can't tell.

And you should probably use Illustrator or even Freehand - something vector based - for logos.

I second that. The whole things looks cheap - colors, form, idea ..and ye, you might consider another name.

I agree. Im sure you'll come up with a better name..

You could type out S.S. (if thats going to be the name) in Sans Serif, convert everything to points, and then modify the SS.

The letter 'S' to me is a smooth and curvy letter. How about a simple approach maybe intertwinning the two letters for a organic look? Have a play with different fonts and styles to see what suits you best afterall, it will be an identity representing you and your work.
