Vapeo. Logo Design

Hello.

This is a logo for a design & creative company.
It's moto is "Functional design."
I have illustrated the functionality with the tools, and the art of design with the pencil and paintbrush.
I used smooth forms in the general shape of a square in order to create balance between the corporate and "friendly" appeal.
The associan with an icon was desired and is considerate a plus.

I'll be glad to hear your comments.

I don't reckon the green and baby blue go together very well.

the logo itself says everything to me that you described tho.

My mistake, I should have showed you guys the BW version. Color is a subject of change, as I have to decided the colors of the web page.
So far I've decided to follow the analogous harmony, therefore I used blue and green.

Thank you for your comment.

I like it... and I actually like the color combo for some reason I like the transition from "tool" to "art"...

It's OK. I think the rounded square needs to be a bit more square and a bit less rounded. And the curves need to flow into the straight sides a bit more gently.

I also think the colors could be a bit darker. Just a bit.

Considering you "specialise in corporate identity" the examples in your portfolio are terribly weak. Do you in all honesty think they are good?

Unfortunatly I'm wokring on a laptop with... well, no the best screen quality
Soon I'll work the colors on a nicer LCD and I'll show you guys the update
I am still think on how to make the image more simple. I've choped off as much detail as I could... may be the idea about the thiker outlines could help.
Thank you all.
Appritiate your time!
