guardian newspaper front cover carving design

Hey just thought that i would put a piece of new work on here and get some feedback...
It was carved into A0 lino Backwards to get this print!.
this was a self negotiated project.. i would like to send it to the guardian newspaper for the fun of it.. but i have read on their website that they do not like receiving artworks through the post.

work is here: website

ok cheers!

hot off the press! bloody lovely.

try emailing/phoning them. if you can talk to a human being in editorial you might find some luck. they'd never use this.. but you never know, you could wing yerself a commission.

That's one of the reasons you're so good at it.

perhaps try selling them on a quick turnaround illustration for a news piece.

tell them that you can churn this out in a day (or whatever the quickest time you beaver it out in).

dependably having the hi-res artwork at the picture desk in a super-jiffy-quick-time will make you their friend.

best of luck to you.

I could see that used on he front of their guide suppliment, would recon on them being a bit more experimental and off the cuff with that

How long did that take to make, a long long time im guessing

I've done some lino carving too so I know how tricky it can be - you've done an incredible job. Good luck!
