Thanks for the kind words Bazzle. All the black coloring in that photo is pen (or brush) and ink.

Here's the base drawing:

The color strokes are just in photoshop.

Erm, just quickly, it's just drawn with a black pen and scanned in b/w. Then I create a new alpha channel and paste that scan into it to use as a selection. Load the selection and fill it with whatever colour you want for the line on it's own layer. Then use the paintbrush on a seperate layer to paint in the colours you want. For the textures use photocopiers, ink, whatever you like and again scan it and use it as an alpha channel to to delete from your layers of colour.

I'm sure that's about as clear as mud but with these things it's always difficult to know how much technical knowledge the other person knows and tailor it to them!

Work in progress, not sure if combining the hand drawn with illustrator is working for me really.

I think the hand drawn fits it just needs to look a little more worn to fit in better.

Hand drew it instead. When it's finished it's going to have a body and arms too.

More WIP, the type is completely going to change and the bottom one still needs a lot of work.

Hey Tony, I like the illustration for the jackets. I don't think the type treatments have been as sophisticated as they art. I'd also consider reducing the contrast between the ground colors, so the type is more readable on top. Otherwise, you can let the image do the talking and keep all the text really small somewhere.

Agreed the type on the cover is not very sophisticated... you could try small type between the horizontal lines or you could brand the big penis with it?
