Seeking guidance

Hey there, as you can guess i am new here and i was wondering if people could share their favourite illustrators with me. Specifically black and white ones. I am just starting out on an illustrator course and there is so much to look at i thought i'd ask you guys for some advice.

Hope you can stop to help me out,
Cheers.

Steve Simpson Illustration

Not B&W, but one of my favourites. Especially since he done an excellent drawing for my friend's stag a few years ago.

this guy works for house industries -
some nice black and white illustrations here>
chris gardner art

graphic novel stuff I like adrien tomine.

I think the artwork from Tekkonkinkreet is friggin amazing
PingMag - The Tokyo-based magazine about “Design and Making Things” » Archive » Making Taiyo Matsumoto’s “Tekkon Kinkreet” into anime

and I think Gez Fry is a very talented individual gezfry.com - online gallery

I've got lots of illustrations here as refs. Alot of them I grabbed from drawn.ca
have a dig around in there.
this site is good as well - Illustration :: IllustrationMundo.com
