Icon Color in Photoshop?
Hello, I have an icon that I like but I like another icon's color. I was wondering what I should mess with to achieve this? Here is the picture that I took of an icon, http://www.kevinkashou.com/icon/saintdemiana.jpg and here is the icon that I like the colors to be http://www.kevinkashou.com/icon/st_demiana.jpg Some what similar to it. Thanks so much, Kash_Money |

Is this the sort of thing you want? 1. Open both images in Photoshop 2. Select the one you want to alter and duplicate it onto a new layer 3. Go to Image/Adjustments/Match Color 4. Select the other image in the source box. Uncheck the Neutral box if it's activated 5. Click OK and the color change is done 6. You can select the discolored background and delete it, allowing the unaltered background from the lower layer to show through You can also do this with Curves, of course, but that takes some practice. Emil, that's a bit complicated to understand for a beginner too, like Curves. I thought we'd be talking about the other kind of icons, too! Usually anything related to religion gives me an allergic reaction but this looked harmless enough. My free fonts www.utfi.net

I agree, but it gives more control over which colours you change. Although orthodox icons are not that brightly coloured, the method you suggested does alter a tad too much the skin tones methinks. I am not a religious person but I like visiting churches, they are very inspirational places to be in at times. |
