Illustrator CS2, Flash has it built in too I think.

Depends what results you're looking for though.

Maerk, 10x for replay.
Live trace dont work for me.
I`m search something like layer effect -after convertion.
Black and white division. (for b&W image).
White holes in image convert to white shape over a black plate.
Somethink like this.
I hope to understand me

No sorry don't understand maybe if you could post examples of what you're trying to achieve and what your source image is?

Sounds like all you need to do is mask it right or invert it, so doubt thats what you mean.

Live trace is the only thing I'm aware of. Its pretty shit at clean conversions as well, it can't incorporate vector gradients for a start. Usually better to trace over something - although that of course depends on the complexity.

I want to separate white areas from black areas automatic with convertion.
This is possible, but i don`t know the name of the program.
Don`t need automatic decrease count of vertexes- only separate black and white areas with convertion.

I have no idea how to successfully get that converted, but if you work out what program to do it in, can you tell us because I would love to know.

Live trace would do that just fine if you know what you're doing... (assuming there is a higher resolution source image.)

When you have it traced fine, hit expand, then select some white, then select all white and delete, leaving you just with the black like any vector single colour illustration and can do what you want with it...

Or... Use the bezier tool and manually trace... Always better results that way

Depends what results you want really, a live trace of a high resolution scan can give a nice rough/fake effect.

would take a fair while to trace all of those manually lol

FYI, Streamline is now incorporated as 'Live Trace' in Illustrator.

I know it would take quite a while... But I still think that generally you get better results doing these things yourself.

Just my opinion though

You could also try Corel's Trace.

Also, if the image has a large enough resolution, you can use Select tool in Photoshop, transform the selection into path and then export as an illustrator file.

Corel trace - give worse results
This is 6 of 25 images.
Trace by hand (with bazier tool) definitely -NO ( i don`t have a time for this)
To draw the images i spend to much time

Maybe the solution of this problem is

1.Trace by live trace than brake apart
2. combine whites

I want optimize this process.

Do you have the image in a higher resolution yes or no? If yes, just attach it and I'll do it for free, its paining me to see what seems a simple task agonised over
