Logo design pricing. What to charge!?
I've been asked by a steady client of mine if I can design them a logo for a new club night their starting up. They say they have a couple of rough ideas for a logo but need them 'realising'. They also want to know what my stance would be if they didn't like the logos i designed, would they still be charged for the work!?!? Surely thats just ridiculous? Anyway i've never designed just a logo on its own before so don't really have any idea how much to charge for it. I was thinking maybe around the £100 mark and do 3 different ideas for him. I've heard people say before that they charge fuck loads for logo design but I dont think they'll pay anymore than that. Also what format/s should I supply the logo in? Im guessing its going to be used by various people for print, web etc.. |

Hourly rate is best, if you're going to do a set price - state how many initital ideas and revisions you're including. That way the client know where they stand and cant take the piss. Supply the file as an eps with fonts converted to outlines. |
