Need Help With Conversion Of Site To CSS

Hi,

I've seriously been bitten by the CSS and accessibility bug. I've recently designed a site for myself as a freelancer completely in CSS (http://www.vickygale.co.uk) (just starting out) and am in the process of updating my personal web site from a table based layout to a CSS based layout. As laying out the sites using CSS make them much more accessible.

My current table based personal site is http://www.btinternet.com/~victoria....nal/index.html. My CSS test page for this site is http://www.btinternet.com/~victoria....test/test.html (note that links do not work - only test page). The majority of the page is laid out using CSS, however one section isn't and is still in a table.

The main content of the page is still within a table as I can not find a way to recreate the border around the content (4 corner, 2 horizontal and 2 vertical images) using CSS. I want the content on the page to expand in width or height, depending upon the content contained and the resolution of the visitors computer screen. Now I can position the content fine using CSS. I can also position the four corner images ok, the top two by absolute positioning (as I know where the content starts height wise and how far from each edge of the browser window to place them). I can also place the bottom corners (so long as they are contained in the content div so they are placed at the correct height). However, I have major problems in placing the horizontal and vertical images in the correct place and also at the correct size, as their size depends on the content and resolution size.

If anybody knows how to recreate the entire border look around the content just using CSS positioning (that works in all modern browsers) please let me know, as I would really like to be able to do this. I greatly appreciate any help.

Vicky

P.S. Sorry about the long explanation, but I hope you can understand what I'm after.

Craked it .

For anyone who wants to take a look see http://www.btinternet.com/~victoria....est/test2.html. Looks fine in IE 6, Opera 6.05, Netscape 6 and Mozilla 1.1 on Win 98. If anyone has problems with it can you let me know what browser + version and operating system you're using.

I'm from Colchester too - small world isn't it! Been a while since I lived there myself, I was most recently living up north in Preston, before moving to Chelmsford.

Bingo.

Site looks a bit bare with all that white space.
I'd consider closing up some of the vertical gaps between the divs.

Given that the content height never gets too long, it might be worth making more fuss of the header graphic.
The lilac text on gray background is a little hard to read.
(That's just me talking as a design-oriented bod )

The content and header divs don't appear to be as wide as they are for all other sections.

Seems otherwise sound though.

p.s.
Awww, go on. Do a logo. You know you wanna.
