I am contracted to do a kiosk presentation, and it's to be done in Director. I do not own Director, therefore I must purchse it... Should I bill my client (as I would not need it if I was not doing this job) or eat the cost... Any advice would help. Cheers, P. |

do they know you haven't used/don't own director? if they are fully aware and are telling you to do this because they think you can do all, then yea bill them for it! it's not something you would do to a client though, they would normally expect you to own all these things and know how to use them. it really does depend how you got the contract to do the job, if they asked you or you said you could do it. (i'm assuming your contracted to a company) (i make no sence sorry) |

I've billed for specific software that I wouldn't otherwise have used before and also for updates on software that I'd stopped using but the client wanted me to use the latest version of. Always discussed it with the client at the off tho. |
