shockff, I was about to slam you for recommending the use of non-standards-compliant, IE-specific markup.
But then I realised that only those people daft enough to use IE would see that godawful effect.

So, carry on.

Indeed. However, there's nothing quite so anti-progressive as an ignorant majority.

Mob rule doesn't make the mob right

But then again Mob Rule doesn't necessarily make the mob wrong either

though in this case I think we'll be going with your initial analysis

No one questoned my "|E PwNz" ??

see, ya know how hackers say " I own you" when they hack a site? well me and my friend have this joke about a hacker hitting "P" instead of "O" but he never wanted to admit it was a spelling error, so he goes with it...hence, "Pwns" ... isnt that funny?

Oh yeah, we're rebels *grrrr* HAHAh joking...

but seriously, call me by my screen name one more time, and watch what happens...another friend did that to me while videotaping something...I almost shoved that camera...well...nevermind...the point it, I dont like it when people call me by "shockff" or "Atomic Andy" when they could call me Andy... well Atomic Andy is ok...but that was my radio name... seriously though,,,Im going back to bed now...went to bed late...well it was like 2:30am...which is now considered early considering that for the past like week Ive been going to bed at 4-4:30am... then I have to get up at like 7am to move cars in my driveway so people can get out... *sigh* *head falls over from no sleep* Huh what? what time is it? blah...im rambling again... oh my God...today is Friday? oh jeeze... when did that happen? *getting something to eat,,going back to bed...*

Don't be a 'tard shockff. If you don't want to be called shockff, then don't ya think that you perhaps should have been a little wiser in your choice of niks?

Now shockff, gonna show me what happens when someone calls you by your screen name?

well wanna know the whole story?

a couple of years ago when I decided that I wanted a email address,,me and my brother were trying to come up with a clever one...so I had no idea in hell what I wanted...but I was listening to my favorite song at the time "shock" by "fear factory" so I took "shockff@hotmail.com" so thats the story... yeah...but...I dont know...

heres what I do...well...im not going to do it...cause I wouldnt want people to do it back to me... [whois search] and I know yours dosent come up right away... [for betasource.org] so I had to go to joker.com and search around there...so, I see that you are the Administrative contact but the owner is someone else? or is "Bill Posters" not your real name HAHAHA sorry...I had to do it...
funny story...
theres a guy on another board of mine that never uses his name...but some other members that he knows have given away his first name..anyway...on his websites his name is never given...but a few searches in whois and some hosting site checks eventually gave me his full name & address & phone & personal email * ...blah blah blah...quite nice if you ask me...

I use Bill Posters as a screen name and have used it as a nom de plume for many years with certain design output.
Some people 'get the joke', some don't.
I won't bother to explain it here and now.

I've never made a secret of my real name and several people across several fora prefer to address me using my real name.
You've not discovered a cool way to 'out' my real identity.
I'm comfortable being addressed using either name.

I personally couldn't care if your name is shockff, Atomic Andy, Atomic Kitten or Brenda.
I just don't see the point in daring people to call you by a name you've given yourself 'to see what happens to them'.
That would just be silly, now wouldn't it?
(rhetorical question. We already know the answer)

Yeah, I was just messing around anyway...I always say "say it again, see what happens" just to see if they would do it... I sure as hell repeat myself or do something again... I want to see what the other person will do...most of the time they're joking around too...or I'll just get punched in the face one of these days... but yeah... people cant give themselves nicknames... these arnt nicknames..they're screen names...but radio people can...and when I was on the radio [local station] I called myself Atomic Andy... it was pretty cool...

Thank heavens we have people like you telling us what we can and cannot do.

If you ever find yourself stuck for inspiration next time you're on the radio and in need of a new nickname- let me know.
I'm sure I can think of one or two.
