css drop-down boxes

does anyone know if it is possible to use a graphic for the down-arrow in a drop-down box ? I think it may be possible with css but im not sure how.

AFAIK it isnt possible, unless of course you create the whole popup box yourself in dhtml.

you can customise drop down menus and stuff in fireworks, but you'd probably end up with a load of messy code

Hi Oli,
I'm new to this posting thing. However, in a CSS drop down menu would the arrow be a graphic to begin with? Just a thought. Possibly just interchanging it.
