I know it's not exactly a cry for help, but does anyone know if there is a good alternative to PayPal? What annoys me about PayPal (as I think is probably the 'norm') is that possible customers have to be PayPal members in order to buy anything. The site I'm working on wants to attract casual buyers who might well be put off buying anything if they then have to trudge through a membership setup, or simply don't want to be a PayPal user. I know PayPal in the US allows people to purchase without having to join; so does the UK have any equivalent..? |

protox, worldpay all do the same thing - although they are fairly ugly unless you pay them a fee. fwiw, surveys show that the more options you offer, the more likely you will be to get a sale. you could also look into things like offering people to pay via their mobile phones. |
