Safari® ignoring link styling

Got some simple CSS here for styling secondary links, the default link colour styling is being ignored in safari, works fine everywhere else, any ideas why?

Code:
.secondary_links a:link { text-decoration: none; color: #0066FF; } .secondary_links a:visited { text-decoration: none; color: #000000; } .secondary_links a:active { text-decoration: none; color: #000000; } .secondary_links a:hover { text-decoration: none; color: #999999; }

Wrong order for your pseudo classes

Link, visited, hover then active. (the LoVeHAte rule)

Try removing the :link pseudo class and see if it helps.

Wasn't aware of that running order Limbo, will use in future, made no difference though, nor did your idea Herk, cheers anyway.

Not too important, not many Safari users for the site in question, was just bugging me.

why would you go to the trouble of putting the trademark after Safari in your post title ???

Did you think we'd think that you were talking about Longleat ??

Is your CSS and HTML valid?

Check that - usually if safari gets it wrong there's a bigger issue... maybe an open tag somewhere up the page?

Aye - thats' the last thing - a style that being cascaded by a rogue class/id/selector

Like wellie says - target the links in the container with more specificity.
