Best CMS for this?

I'd like the client to have the ability to add new portfolio pieces and give them details and then it adds itself to the layout with the click of a button. I'm a little unsure whether Wordpress is the best way to go about doing this, or whether it's something I'll have to get built myself?

Cheers lads,

Wordpress could be made to do that.
The portfolio section could just display posts, the rest of the site use pages.

Is that all the portfolio will display (large image and a title), or would there be a click to take you to further info?

I thought it could, but wasn't sure whether there were any other tools more suiting. For now, that's all I can see the portfolio displaying, yeah. With a possible link at the end of each one saying "buy" which will then link to wherever he sells his pieces.

I can already see what you're getting at with the posts thing and it would be pretty straight forward to setup. I'll have a play with it now!

Cheers mate,

If thats all the content that is needed, it should be pretty straight forward.
Post title is the artwork title, stick the image in the post field.

It should then just be a case of styling the page as your psd.

Agreed. Fairly straightforward doing that in WordPress.
