Dreamweaver Layers overlap problem

On my PC the a site I designed (mainlinefamilydentistry.com) looks fine...no images overlap or anything. however, when viewed in the same browser(IE) on different PCs,the images overlap the text and everything isnt the way I positioned a little. I read the other posts similar to this aboutr CSS style. It said something about adding <td style="position:relative;">. but I don't have any tables in mine.? Also why would it look different if its the exact same page viewed in the exact same browser at the same display setting? I just wanna fix this ASAP. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

different verionos of ie? there's 3 you have to consider at the moment.

5, 5.5 and 6. check again (not looked myself sorry - maybe later. too sunny outside).

ok, i looked. shouldn't have though.

http://mainlinefamilydentistry.com/ourstaff.htm - overlap on all versions of ie - bottom image of woman and the address goes underneath the image.

i think i know what's going on but i've just suffered a fit from the banner animation (although that was after recovering from the hysterics that set in at the toothpaste tube animated menu).

well done.

no wonder it is overlapping - you are using absolute positioning and the z-index on the problematic image is set to 7, highest on the page.

try the float property (either left/right) on the text or the photo's div tag.

Brown, what are you saying? You know the problem but arent gonna tell me right now? and are you saying the banner and menu are too much? I don't really like them either but that's what my client wanted?

Adrias I don't know about absolute postitioning or z-index. I also don't know what the float property is? Could you elaborate or point me to a site that will help me? thanks.

An absolute positioned element is positioned exactly where you say it should be positioned.

Thanks, according to that statement from that tutorial, why would mine be any different?

no time to sort this for you atm.

try this: http://css.maxdesign.com.au/floatutorial/

you have to learn about wha t your code means, not just botch it together in the beaver.
