Photoshop wizardry

How can I get my design to fit the curature of this page in photoshop.

Obv. perspective tool aint usfficient for the problem

yeah true.

problem is once you have created the perspective, warp is impossible to control beacuse the grid used to manipulate isnt set at the same angle

you make a grid in vanishing point.
quite easier really.

It always stays the same unless you resize - look it up under help.

replicate the curve of the page's cross-section front on, by looking at the curve at the bottom of the spread. Warp your image to meet that and then sort out the perspective
....?

yeah this could work.

perspective tool along aint gonna help here mik, cos it only uses strait edges

This is the one warp which PS just doesn't do. I can't understand why it's taking Adobe so long to get this sorted. Dicomed Systems had warped curved perspectives available in the mid-90s and I used to use it to make mock-ups of labelling on shampoo bottles, cosmetic jars and the like for L'Oréal Finland. Easy peasy!

Agreed this feature ought to be integral to the perspective tool.

I mean you can control the frequency of the grid - alls you need now is bzier points to create curves within that matrix.

sure i could use warp as well but its a fuck about
