Sending HTML Email
Ok, guys - I'm sure this is a 'you gotta be kidding' type thing, but can anyone tell me - is there any way of sending HTML formatted email from Outlook without resorting to importing it into Word and screwing with it as only Word/Outlook can do... (FYI: I can import the HTML file into GroupMail and send it perfectly happily) Cheers, jon |

if you're using ie on a pc you can go: file > send > page by email but...only seems to work if you've got a valid doctype specified in the document and its not gonna work too well on some mail clients. can you set the page as a stationary page and do it that way? or you could do it properly with PHPList |

I'll give that a go - Essentially I'd like to either use the HTML as stationary without endless pointless Word formatting (or having to change everything to one type face and size). Send as email simply put it in as an attachment - not really the required result; something I've done wrong? Starting to wonder if using Groupmail might not be the best solution. |

make the template you want to use as the newsletter and then dump it in the following directory: c:/program files/common files/microsoft shared/stationary goto outlook express and click on messages >create new message using template (i think it's this, i cant recall) whatever template you named and bob is your uncle. |

I've done it before pretty much like Platinum says and it worked a treat. Just design your HTML page (including embedded styles with http paths for your image files) save the code as stationary or cut and paste it all into the email source for your message (in Outlook Express though) You still get the table cells to add/change text etc......save it as a draft message and call on it when you need it. Worked nicely for me. fuck signatures
