Toast for Mac OS can burn for PC without problems, so I'd assume Toast for Windows could do vice versa, although it wouldn't surprise me to find out that it can't.

Then it might help to know what OS your non-Windows PC is running.

…in which case, I dunno, but probably not.

Can't help wondering what a machine running Windows 3.1 is being used for today - and why they need to pass data to a mac.

c'mon man, use ya nogging, bit of ye olde common sense.

I went to the site that does the Toast™ CD/DVD burning software but unfortunatley THEY DO NOT MAKE THE SOFTWARE FOR A PC. No, I am not using some version of windows prior to 3.1, I am using Windows XP professional Corporate Edition.

We talking the same language now?

the cheek

Use stuffit to zip your files as a .sit - burn this using Nero and then un-suff them on the mac. No guarantees.

The file I downloaded was a .sit so if I burn that all should be OK even though the ISO is different?

Well I can give it a go, thanks for the help.

(sorry Bill for the rant, know you were only trying to help)

:cuts-to-chase:
Mac's will be able to read a pc format CD just fine.
It's PC's that sometimes have trouble reading Mac format CDs.

If it's going to be x-platform and you're burning it on a PC but can't burn as true dual format or custom hybrid format, burn it as a simple PC format (ISO9660) disc and Mac users will be able to access the data, though icon positioning may be lost.

I'm sure there must be some software out there for Windows that can burn as dual-format or hybrid.
