could yall tell me exactly what DTD and DOM is, i need to know this for a school assignment

DDT - a chemical or a wrestling move. Both dangerous.
DOMK - dunno.

Where are you getting these terms from?

DTD - document type definition
Describes which tags and attributes are allowed in a document, how they relate to each other and where they can be used. Applications can then use a document's doctype to understand - and display - the content.
