I want handwriting on a new design but my handwriting is rubbish, so i can't just scan my writing in. Do any of you know of a tools or techniques i could get hold of that will produce handwritten text with a pencil drawn texture

I've already got a decent looking font, i just need the texture.....

Generate the text you want to use, for instance, in black, and apply a texture overlay in Photoshope/Fireworks using something like "sandstone" in white and fiddle until reached desired effect.
